Can we book the entire estate for a large group?
Yes — you can book the estate exclusively (all three lodges) for up to around 34 guests. This is ideal for large family reunions, weddings or corporate retreats. Read more about Exclusive Use.
Are the lodges pet-friendly?
Yes – we have dog-friendly options. Please refer to the Dog Friendly Retreats section for specific lodges, restrictions (how many dogs, type, size) and any additional cleaning fees or rules.

What about golfing facilities — is this place good for golf groups?
Absolutely. Both Hawkswood House and The Roundel have private short-game areas, and the estate has a 270-yard driving range which all properties have access to.
Additionally, there is a dedicated Golf Concierge Service which can help book tee times, arrange transport, equipment hire and coaching.
Can we host a wedding or celebration event at the estate?
Yes — the estate offers packages for weddings (including exclusive use of accommodations, welcome hampers, photo-friendly grounds) and for other celebrations (birthdays, anniversaries, corporate events).

Are children welcome? Is the estate suitable for families?
Yes — families are very much welcome. Hawkswood House sleeps up to 10 guests, while The Roundel and Bowhill House both sleep up to 12 guests using additional sofa beds. There are communal rooms, large dining spaces and activities designed for groups.
Please ensure that children are supervised, particularly around outdoor areas, the driving range and garden/hydro-spa zones.
Can we book additional services?
Yes — extra services are available. For example, private chefs, catering for events, transport to golf courses, etc are offered. See Services for more on extras.
Are gift vouchers available?
Yes – gift vouchers are available and multiple gift vouchers can be used at once.
Do you provide hairdryers?
Yes, each bedroom has a hairdryer.
Do you have coffee machines? What coffee does it take?
Each property has a coffee machine which takes ground coffee. You don’t need to bring any filters as our machines have built in washable filters.
How far in advance do I need to book your transport?
All transport must be booked advance prior to your arrival. Please email us with your requirements to check availability.
Do you have WiFi?
Yes we have fibre broadband. The access code to each property is in the guest information book located on the kitchen worktop. All information you require about the property you are staying in is in this book.
