Golf

Golf is synonymous with Scotland. There are more than 550 Scottish golf courses, 40 courses throughout Fife, and there are seven golf courses in St Andrews alone. Famous St Andrew golf courses include the iconic Old Course, the New Course and the Jubilee Course – some of the most celebrated Scottish golf courses. The Balgove Course offers nine holes, ideal for families and beginners. People come from all over the world to experience St Andrews’ golf courses. And we are here to help them improve their game. Guests can enjoy access to our short game area and our 270-yard driving range. St Andrews is the ideal place to test your new golf skills.

Improve your

Short Game

The short game area at Hawkswood House allows you to practice a wide range of lies and distances. It includes 5 pitching mats, 6 holes and 2 bunkers. Guests can practice a variety of shots, on an area designed and built by professionals with experience of Scotland’s golf courses. The short game area at the Roundel has 3 pitching mats, 9 holes and 2 bunkers. Opened in May 2017, it is the ideal place to work on putting and other aspects of your short game. Our short game areas will help you improve your game before you take on Scottish golf courses.

Our Driving Range in

St Andrews

Our 270-yard driving range is exclusively for guests of Hawkswood Country Estate. The driving range can be used to practice your golf swing. This can either be for preparation before a game, or as a recreational activity. It can also be used if you simply don’t have enough time for a full game of golf. All guests of Hawkswood Country Estate can use the driving range. St Andrews’ golf courses are the ideal place to show your skills once you have worked on your swing.
