Nowhere else can beat Scotland for golf courses. There are more than 40 in Fife alone, including some of the oldest in Scotland and arguably the world’s finest links courses.
In addition to the iconic Old Course, St Andrews has six other courses, including the New Course and the Jubilee Course, which date from 1895 and 1897. The 9-hole Balgove Course is ideal for beginners and families.
Beyond St Andrews itself, we especially recommend Kingsbarns and Carnoustie, both of which are within easy striking distance.
At Kingarrock you can even play in the old style with wooden-shafted clubs.
