We currently have two offers running for guests booking a stay of two nights or more.
October Breaks gives you a complimentary additional night when you book a minimum two-night stay throughout October 2026. It’s a simple way to extend a break in one of Fife’s most colourful months, when the surrounding countryside is at its best.
Our 3 for 2 Winter Offer runs across January, February, March, April, November and December, in both 2026 and 2027, and again includes a complimentary additional night on a minimum two-night stay. It’s ideal for a New Year escape, a half-term family break, or simply a cosy long weekend when you fancy getting away.
Both offers are subject to availability and apply to new bookings only. They exclude our complimentary mini-coach service and the festive period, and can’t be combined with other offers. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out by 10am.

Better Golf, Fewer Crowds
Hawkswood sits ten minutes from St Andrews, in the heart of one of the world’s most concentrated golfing landscapes. Autumn and winter golfing has a lot to offer.
Through the summer, the courses around Fife are booked out weeks in advance and tee sheets are packed from dawn until dusk.
Once the season turns, that pressure eases considerably.
Tee times open up, courses are noticeably quieter, and many clubs introduce more accessible off-peak rates as the year winds down, so a round that would have needed booking months ahead in July can often be arranged with far less notice, and at better value, come November.

The charming nine-hole clifftop course at Anstruther is within easy reach and Carnoustie’s Championship, Burnside and Buddon courses are also within a scenic drive across the Tay.
This is ideal if you want to complete a proper links tour during your stay.
Back at the estate, two of our properties have their own private short game practice areas, and we have a 270-yard driving range on site for warming up or working on your swing between rounds.
Our golf concierge service can also help arrange tee times and equipment hire, so the only thing you need to plan is which course to play first.
The Countryside at Its Most Beautiful
Hawkswood sits on 37 acres of Fife countryside, with views out across the Kingdom, and autumn is when this setting is possibly at its most beautiful.

Visit in autumn or winter and you get a different town altogether. Tables are easier to come by, the West Sands feel like your own, and the local attractions that draw crowds in summer become genuinely relaxing to explore.
This makes the quieter months especially well suited to family reunions, multi-generational groups and dog-friendly stays, where the appeal is spending time together rather than queuing for anything.
