Hawkswood House offers the short game area for practising different lies and distances. It has 2 bunkers, 5 pitching mats and 6 holes. You can practise your golf game on an area which was designed by professionals with experience of building the best of Scotland’s golf courses. The Roundel has 2 bunkers, 3 pitching mats and 9 holes. It opened in May 2017, and is an ideal place for practising your golf skills and basically all aspects of your short game. Our short game areas will help you improve your game before you decide to take on Scottish golf courses.
Our 270-yard driving range was built exclusively for our guests at Hawkswood Country Estate. This driving range is created for practising your golf swing. You can surely visit here for preparation before a game, or imagine it to be a recreational activity. If you don’t have enough time for a full game of golf, it will serve as an ideal place for your game. All guests of Hawkswood Country Estate can use the driving range for their golf practise. After you have mastered your swing, St Andrews’ golf courses are the ideal place to show your skills once you have worked on your swing.
If you would like to develop your skills further and have professional advice from an experienced golf player, we can arrange practical courses with Peter Whiteford, the teaching golf professional at Hawkswood Country Estate. Peter is a golf professional who was a former European Tour player, he coached players at all levels so if you would like to take your skills to the next level you will definitely want to meet him during your practise. He has experienced many of Scotland’s golf courses. Fife Men’s Golf Team spend hours practising with Peter, while focusing on the short game and overall performance.
Working on your short game, practising on the driving range or learning to conquer the infamous St Andrews bunkers, Peter will be more than happy to teach you his approach to the game.
